Leading up to this start-up's expasion announcement, a new brand image representing their environmental and educational direction was established. I was approached with the proposal to animate a presentation for social media to give a little "oomph" to this announcement, communicating to their audience how they grew in terms of their staff, offices and service reach.

Conceptually, I envisioned a well-paced flashy animation that showcased the newly designed brand identity, bringing to life their logo, characters and typography in as many ways as was sensible to do so. Beginning with an intro to the main character - the ninja - disposing of the old logo and introducing the new one, the new logo then flourishes into frame with it's new character counterparts animating into place. From then on I crafted a sequence of scenes detailing the message of growth, showcasing the the brand elements in different scenarios while remaining relevant to what phrase is being shown on screen.

I was happy with the result overall, the video turned out engaging and fun to watch, there're lots of little details that, apart, go unnoticed but, together, make the animation come alive. The brand identity is really well crafted and was a joy to work with, even though there was a lot of legwork required to prepare the original drawings for animation, especially getting the ninja to do poses outside of those initially drawn. The music choice was okay. If I had more time I would've done a deeper dive to find an even better fit, but I was surprised at how well the soundscaping turned out with the little time I had left!
